Birth of Spring
Whenever I make my way up to Ely, whether that is for a BWCA trip, an art festival, or to drop off art at my favorite little gallery (The Meadows Gallery & Studios), I drive by Little Langley River. And every time I do I gasp and say “Next time I have to stop so I can take a picture!” Finally, in the early spring days of 2025, on my way back from an inventory drop off, I remembered to stop. The ice had melted. The black spruce that line the river were settled neatly through the bog. I took a deep breath of fresh air and whispered “spring is finally here.”
