Ghosts of Winters Past
“Ghosts of Winters Past” is a part of the Playing with Snow Series painted in December of 2024.
Ghosts of Winters Past depicts the remnants of a once heavy snowfall that has bent the poplars near the trail. A perfect natural arc to walk through, a portal in the forest. This painting is one of ten 5×7 inch snowy landscape paintings inspired by morning walks. If you’d like to read more about how this series came to be or peruse the series gallery, click here to read my blog article, “Playing with Snow.”
This is an original watercolor painting on 100% pure cotton, 140 lb professional grade paper. The piece is signed by the artist on the bottom, right corner, and titled and dated on the back.
Like all original Katie Bromme Watercolor paintings, this piece was both matted and framed by the artist. It is set in double-mat with 100% cotton rag core matboard in a metallic silver painted wood frame, behind glass. On the back of the frame, d-rings and picture wire have been hand-installed by the artist so your painting is ready to hang up in your space.
Artwork with frame measures 9 × 11 × ½ inches.
All purchases are final, please allow 1-3 weeks for your artwork to arrive. Tax and shipping will be added at checkout.
