Each year in the spring I take a little drive up Highway 2 just to “stretch my legs.” The winter keeps me cooped up and though I need my hibernation, there comes a point in April where a restlessness grows in me like a sapling reaching for the sun as soon as it warms the earth. Before the Superior National Forest sign, I pass by Little Langley River and it has become a ritual for me to stop and gaze out at this winding waterway, imagining my paddle dipping in the water in just a short month… Part of the Signs of Life Original Collection.
