Market Season 2025 Begins
The Edina Art Fair is next weekend!
It’s the time of year where all of us artists emerge from our studios and bring our creations out into the world. The time of year that reminds me quickly and not at all gently, what it means to be busy again.
It has been one of those weeks where I feel like I have ten different projects rolling all at once. I finally got the porch cleaned up and turned into my studio for the summer months. Then transformed my indoor studio into a space for print and card packaging plus matting and framing. Yes, this is the time of year where art creation and inventory production begin to take over the entire house…
I have a big in-progress painting that I pause and add details to every once in a while when I need a minute to create instead of being productive.
I’ve been assembling my new “Spirit of the Seasons” greeting card sets and am hoping to find some space this weekend to mat and frame a couple new paintings that manifested after my recent BWCA trip — these will be available at the art fair next weekend! There are also about ten other original paintings that are framed and ready but are not on my online shop just yet, I’m working on getting them photographed and uploaded and will have them ready to rock and roll by the end of the week next week.
This way, if you aren’t able to attend my first event of the season, you will still be able to see all the art available for purchase in-person, or online by June 6th! Plus, I know a lot of you like to go to my website and peruse before you come see me at art fairs :)
Speaking of which, the Edina Art Fair is my only Twin Cities event this year. So all you Minneapolis/St. Paul peeps, June 6-8 are your dates to see my art in person! This is my very first year attending this event, I will be at booth #309 with a huge array of original watercolor paintings, brand new fine art prints, and of course bright and colorful greeting cards too!
